Rapido Partners With NSDC To boost Economic Opportunities

The renowned ride-hailing app Rapido has now partnered with NSDC to create more opportunities and improve facilities for gig workers. The goal of this partnership is to expand these opportunities to fill the employment gap and build skillful bridges among the youth.

The agreement will also include NSDC’s contributions to regulatory facilitation, branding, and targeted outreach, ensuring that more people can access sustainable livelihoods and professional development through the gig economy.

The ride-hailing platform, Rapido, will provide easy access to riders, whether they want to go for full-time or part-time. They can choose accordingly and earn through the driver-friendly app and a smooth onboarding procedure.

This e-rider startup based in Bangalore claims to have produced income for over five million candidates, with approximately two million captains, generating money from the platform monthly.

For instance, Rapido’s “Pink Mobility” campaign offers unique perks to female captains (driver partners) who work on the app both part-time and full-time. It is committed to expanding its geographic reach to over 500 communities across the country.

The agreement will also include NSDC’s contributions to regulatory facilitation, branding, and targeted outreach so that more people can access reliable employment and professional development through gig work.
