Made to simplify the process of discovering past work and scrolling through sessions. According to Microsoft, Recall enables users to come across through a timeline or search using simple keywords or product description, minimizing extraction time by up to 70 per cent. This feature works locally on the device with solid privacy controls in it to make sure the data remains protected, encrypted, and never shared with Microsoft or third-party apps.

About Click-to-do

Click to Do provides immediate, contextual controls for tasks like summarizing, rewriting, copying text, and modifying photos right from the screen. It can be accessed by pressing “Win” + “Click”, swiping right on touchscreens, or by selecting icons in tools such as Start and Snipping Tool. This feature makes workflows more efficient by allowing users to engage with content immediately. Image-related actions are now accessible, while text actions will be added to Snapdragon X series devices first, followed by AMD and Intel devices.

About Improved Windows Search

The new Windows Search allows users to search images, documents, or settings by describing them in conventional language, avoiding the need to memorize precise file names. Powered by a local neural processing unit (NPU), it delivers faster, more intuitive results by understanding context, cutting search time by up to 70% compared to typical Windows 10 search methods.

How Can I Get These Updates?

These Copilot Plus-specific features are featured in the April 2025 Windows non-security preview version.
Microsoft plans to release them over the following month. The business clarified: “We will be gradually rolling out these new features via controlled feature rollout (CFR) to consumers.”

However, not all functions will be available at the same time. Eric Abbruzzese, an ABI Research director, assumed that this could be related to systemic difficulties.

“These features will not only launch globally all at once, with the EU notably absent, is another example of regulation and privacy laws dictating feature rollouts, which will be increasingly common as companies push into more powerful but overbearing products like Recall,” according to him.
