With its flagship brand MetaShot, Bengaluru-based console gaming startup Gilli Danda Tech Pvt. Ltd. has raised Rs 2 crore through convertible loans from the Karnataka Government’s Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), also known as the Karnataka Information Technology Venture Capital Fund (KITVEN Fund). The startup funding will be used to boost growth and promote market expansion.

Based on this latest startup news, earlier in January 2025, the business raised Rs 11 crore in a mix of equity and debt capital led by Sauce.VC, Sharrp Ventures, and Panthera Peak Capital. Before that phase, it raised $400,000 in a pre-Seed investment round in 2023 led by Inflection Point Ventures, with participation from an early-stage gaming fund and famous angel investors.
Its flagship device, the MetaShot Smart Bat, detects real-world cricket shots live and effortlessly integrates them into gaming via the MetaShot app. The startup’s long-term goal is to create a platform that combines physical and virtual play across a wide range of sports-related games.
