Apple is considering partnering with Anthropic or OpenAI artificial intelligence technologies to power a future version of Siri instead of its in-house models, media sources reported on Monday.

Why Apple Seeks to Collaborate With Anthropic?

According to this latest tech news, iPhone maker Apple has spoken with both businesses about deploying their large language models for Siri, asking them to train versions of their LLMs that could operate on Apple’s cloud infrastructure for testing, according to people familiar with the conversation.

Apple’s testing of third-party models is still in its early stages, and the company has not decided whether to use them, according to the report.

Anthropic, which is funded by Amazon, declined to comment, while Apple and OpenAI did not respond to media requests. The business announced in March that developments in artificial intelligence for its voice assistant Siri would be postponed until 2026, without explaining the delay.
